Shuttle Driver

Summary As a Shuttle Driver for Under Canvas, your role is to transport team members to and from their housing to the camp location and various locations as needed. The Shuttle Driver position will also be trained in operational tasks and assist with on property duties as needed. In this role, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles and provide safe and comfortable scheduled transportation for team members. The schedule for this position will vary from week to week depending on business needs. This is a seasonal, hourly position, and includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment. Competencies Effective Communication Adaptagility Key Responsibilities Maintain composure under pressure (traffic, road detours, delays) Professional, mature, collaborative Operate the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner Evaluate area traffic and identify most efficient route while transporting employees Work with facilities leadership to ensure regular maintenance and safety checks are being performed on vehicle Keep company vehicles clean and in good condition Focus on safety and awareness of surroundings Act as a support role for all operation departments in between shuttle periods Maintain timeliness and dependability Be an active listener, a genuine relationship builder, and an approachable co-worker Other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Current Valid Driver’s License Clean Driving Record Time Management Adaptable Friendly Vehicle safety Additional Information Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time, including during extreme heat and cold or weather events Able to stand and move for long periods of time Ability to lift 30lbs independently; all lifts over 31 lbs. require assistance from a co-worker This position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.
