You'll have six months, a clear brief, and real ownership — to get Curo's managers ready for September, when we bring in a new HR platform and raise the bar on how we run people processes across the organisation.In six months, you'll design a Management Development Programme (MDP), build a Manager Competency Framework aligned to our values and job families, create a blended Manager Essentials toolkit, and stand up our approach to assessment centres for both the MDP and our Leadership Development Programme (LDP).It's a short contract with a long shadow — we want you to leave L&D work behind that outlasts you.What You'll Be DoingDesigning the Management Development Programme — the external provider delivers, you own the design, the sequencing, and the internal modules that wrap around each external sessionBuilding the Manager Competency Framework — taking initial scoping through to a defined framework, agreed with stakeholders and aligned to Curo values and job familiesCreating and delivering the Manager Essentials toolkit — practical, bite-size, blended, and built to be used rather than admiredCo-designing and co-delivering a pivotal manager development workshop in mid-to-late June — your first visible proof pointOwning the MDP cohort, and delivering the internal modules that plug the gaps between external provider sessionsStanding up Curo's approach to assessment centres at the front of both the MDP and LDP, in partnership with colleagues leading on professional qualificationsLeaving a clean handover pack so the work continues after the contract endsWhat You'll Get In ReturnBeyond a salary of £53,148 pro-rata and the chance to ship meaningful work at pace, you'll get:26 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) rising to 29 days after 3 years, pro-rata for reduced hours and length of contractYour birthday off as an extra holidayUp to 10% matched pension contributionHybrid working — minimum 2 days in our Bath office per week for face-to-face deliveryFlexible benefits which might include a Health Cash PlanAccess to an Employee Assistance Programme for your own wellbeingMore About YouYou're an experienced Learning & Development professional who designs learning that changes how people behave as managers, not learning that just ticks a box.You move quickly without cutting corners. You're comfortable in teams that are still finding their way, and you'd rather get on and build than wait for everything to be perfect first. You get on well with senior leaders, and you judge your work by whether it's made a difference to the people you built it for.Experience designing manager or leadership development programmes, ideally including programmes where you've partnered with an external training providerA strong Learning & Development track record with evidence of design, delivery, return on investment, and measurable business impactThe ability to land at pace from week one — a 6-month contract cannot absorb a slow startDigital confidence with Microsoft Teams (including breakout rooms), blended learning design, and digital delivery of learning contentComfort working in teams that are building the plane as they fly it — contributing to how the team operates as well as what it deliversConfidence working with senior leaders and internal customersAbout CuroWe're a leading South West housing association with social purpose at our heart.
