CNC Machinist Trainer

Full‑Time • On‑Site • Turning / Milling / Swiss Winegar, Inc. is growing, and we’re investing in the next generation of machining talent. We are seeking an experienced CNC Trainer who is passionate about developing people, standardizing training processes, and elevating CNC capability across our shop—including Mills, Lathes, and Swiss (multi‑axis and sub‑spindle). This is a hands‑on role where you’ll work directly with new and existing operators to build skill, confidence, and consistency on the shop floor. What You’ll Do Develop and deliver comprehensive CNC training curricula (operation, setup, and light programming). Provide hands‑on coaching in Milling, Turning, and Swiss machining (sub‑spindle and multi‑axis operations). Train operators on proper machining procedures, setup methods, measurement techniques, and inspection practices. Create and maintain training materials, including SOPs, work instructions, and visual aids. Assess employees’ skill levels, track progress, and determine readiness for advancement. Collaborate with Supervisors/Foremen to identify skill gaps and training opportunities. Continuously improve training processes for efficiency, consistency, and quality. Promote best practices in safety, continuous improvement, ISO 9001 compliance, waste reduction, and productivity. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. What You BringRequired Qualifications 10+ years of professional CNC machining experience (setup, operation, and some programming). Proficiency in CNC programming languages and CAM software. Strong knowledge of tooling, probing, GD&T, and part inspection. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use a variety of precision measurement tools. Strong communication and coaching skills. Preferred Skills Patient, enthusiastic, and structured approach to teaching. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex concepts simply. Highly organized, self‑motivated, and detail‑oriented. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic shop environment. Comfortable standing for extended periods with frequent bending or stooping. Able to lift up to 50 lbs on a repetitive basis. Ability to understand drawing requirements and measurement techniques.
