You'll oversee the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro Area and Fargo, ND/Moorhead, MNregions requiring regular travel to ensure both areas have the necessary support.Your main areas of focus include, but are not limited to, OH&S leadership, employee productivity, operational efficiency,customer centricity, and employee retention/satisfaction by maintaining a positive working environment. You'll translatecustomer requirements into state-of-the-art production strategies resulting in cost-effective processes. The GM should beable to develop operational plans, budgets, and policies and procedures whiles supervising, coaching and mentoring yourteam. You'll monitor activities and satisfy reporting requirements in accordance to the Company's policies while also beingresponsible for financial performance, which includes among other things profit & loss accounts and capital expenditures.Our General Manager leads by example and shows behavior consistent with the company's values.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH* Delivers strategic leadership and management practices to the organization in support of the company's businessstrategy. Ensures continual process improvement.* Responsible for ensuring positive relations with all stakeholders: employees, customers, suppliers,community, government interest groups, etc. Assures adherence to applicable legislation and regulations,including permit and environmental conditions; in coordination with local Environmental Manager.* Understands the needs of the customers and positions the company to profitably meet mutual needs ofcustomer and company. Provides excellent customer service to stakeholder groups by addressingissues, questions or concerns in a timely manner. Builds long lasting relationships with customers.* Assesses market opportunities and develops annual business plans in terms of volume and expensebudgets. Responsible for establishing sales goals. Develops appropriate market expectations and forsales and marketing functions. Ensures the execution of sales strategies to develop new opportunities,increase market share and promote profitable sales growth.* Responds to and maintains positive employer-employee relationships that contribute to satisfactoryproductivity, motivation and morale. Prevents and resolves problems involving individuals when theyarise. Motivates coaches and mentors employees to build effective teams.* Supports the Region in achieving overall P&L targets by identifying opportunities for improvement as wellas collaborating with other regional product lines to leverage resources, etc. Responsible for theattainment of revenue and profit goals for the division.* Ensures adherence to budget and optimizes processes to achieve greater operational effectiveness.Oversees and directs preparation of operating budgets. Conducts operations reviews to assess all costdrivers that impact financials. Monitors and controls operational volumes, capacity, material use,inventory data, etc. Reviews financial statements, operations and cost reports, and other keyperformance indicators to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needingcost reduction and program improvement. Manages capital expenditures.* Partners with Regional Management and support functions on the development of overall objectives andlong-range goals/strategies for the region. Translates and cascades objectives to measurable goals to itsdirect reports and monitors actions, he is ultimately accountable for the successful execution of allapproved strategies.* Develops staffing plans. Responsible for personnel management including recruitment, supervision,disciplinary actions, performance appraisals and terminations. Prioritizes staff workloads in order to meetproduct needs/objectives in all areas. Develops and trains staff to ensure high skill levels. Partners withHuman Resources on employee development and succession planning initiatives, recruiting, discipline,etc.* Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety andenvironmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit thesebehaviors.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREducation: Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of equivalent experience.Additional Education Preferred: Master's degree, (Mine Engineering and any other degree that might appropriate.)Field of Study Preferred: Operations Management, Business, Sales, Marketing, Mining, Geological or Mineral ProcessEngineering or other related disciplinesRequired Work Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in the construction materials sector, including, but not limited to,production, distribution, quality, and commercial. Comfortable discussing/explaining aggregate production issues andmaking recommendations clearly and concisely to senior management.Required Technical Skills: Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office Products (Excel,PowerPoint, Word). SAP, Qlik Sense, and Google Meets/Zoom experience preferred.Travel Requirements: 40%. Frequent travel to company and customer sites and within the US for corporateprojects. Travel overseas might be sometimes required.Additional Requirements:* Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrizeapproved Personal ProtectionEquipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators.
