CNC Programmer

We are looking for a talented and CNC Router table operator and programmer that will play a fundamental role in elevating our manufacturing capabilities.
The Router Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines. The Machine Operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Work under immediate supervision.
*POSITION SUMMARY:*
The CNC Router Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines. This position will also be responsible for programming tool paths and file setup; inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
* Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
* Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery.
* Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.
* Sets-up tool paths, tool selection and fixtures as required
* Operates CNC Router table drawings and job instructions
* Performs program editing and control modifications as required to improve efficiency and productivity
* Performs In-process inspection of parts in conjunction with first article inspections and standard industry practices to ensure quality of parts produced
* Maintains and completes documentation, manufacturing production orders as specified by quality procedures and the Job Plan
* Maintains safe operations by adhering to Safety Procedures and Regulations
* Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following Manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
* Promotes continuous Process Improvement through daily involvement in production activities
* Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
* Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
* Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials Housekeeping and sanitation
* Other duties as assigned

*QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:*
* High School graduate or equivalent. Trade School graduate or Degree in related field preferred
* 3-5+ years of relevant work experience
* Proficient in blueprint and associated process reading
* Draw tool paths and tool selection in VCarve Program
* Understand use of CAD programs and file management
* Good math skills
* Knowledge of machine operation – Mechanical, Programming & Numeric Controls Router table
* Experience with Machining aluminum, plastics, and sheet Metal
* Ability to select the proper tools dictated by the machining requirements
* Experience in a fast-paced production environment a plus
* Attention to detail and analytical skills
* Bilingual English/Spanish
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:*
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal but can fluctuate during times of production. The environment can be dusty at times.
