If you've ever thought about working in healthcare, psychology, education, or therapy, this is where that journey begins. We'll train you from the ground up to become a Behavior Technician. Our work focuses on supporting with developmental differences who may learn or communicate in different ways — including children on he autism spectrum.
What You'll Do:
You’ll work one-on-one with children, helping them learn new skills and navigate the world around them — often through play, creativity, and patience. Every session is guided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who mentors and supports you.
Some of the children we serve display strong emotions or challenging behaviors. You’ll receive hands-on training and coaching on how to stay calm, follow safety procedures, and support them through these moments with care and professionalism.
A typical day might include:
Work one-on-one with children in their homes and community
Support communication, daily routines, and social development
Using games and routines to teach communication, self-help, and social skills
Encouraging calm, confidence, and independence
Track progress and share updates with your supervising BCBA
Collaborate with parents and teammates to maintain consistency
Documenting what you observe so the BCBA can adjust goals and strategies
Growing your own ABA skills through regular team trainings and mentorship

What You'll Bring:
You don't need to know everything about ABA — we'll provide all the training you need! What you do need is:
A genuine love for working with kids and helping others succeed
Patience, empathy, and curiosity about human behavior
Reliability and strong communication skills
Ability to stay calm and steady even when the child is in distress (yelling, crying, hitting or in crisis)
Resilience and stamina — learn from challenges, ready for hands-on work, remain engaged and active (playing, teaching on the floor).
Willingness to travel to client homes in the Renton area (and nearby cities)
Reliable form of transportation to, from and in-between client sessions.
A valid driver’s license and high school diploma (required)
