Position Type: Full-time We are seeking a Technical Manager for Cloud Platform Engineering, DevOps, ITAR &FedRAMP to lead the engineering practices, platform operations, and compliance-focused cloudinfrastructure supporting our industry-disrupting analytics platforms. This individual will beresponsible for the management, deployment, uptime, scalability, and security of our core cloudservices, with a particular focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments and thetechnical implementation of ITAR and FedRAMP requirements. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who combines deep hands-on experience in cloudplatform engineering and DevOps with proven success implementing regulated cloudenvironments. This role requires someone who can lead engineers, work cross-functionally withsecurity and compliance stakeholders, and drive technical maturity across infrastructure,automation, observability, reliability, and governance. Key Responsibilities ? Lead the cloud platform engineering and DevOps function responsible for the reliability,scalability, security, and performance of core analytics platforms.? Own the architecture, operation, and continuous improvement of Google CloudPlatform (GCP) environments supporting production and regulated workloads.? Manage and mentor cloud platform engineers and DevOps personnel, setting technicaldirection, engineering standards, and operational best practices.? Drive implementation and maintenance of technical controls required for ITAR andFedRAMP compliance.? Lead efforts to prepare applications and environments for FedRAMP assessment,authorization, and ongoing compliance sustainment.? Ensure platform availability and performance meet or exceed defined SLAs.? Oversee incident response, root cause analysis, runbook development, and operationalfollow-through to improve reliability over time.? Expand platform automation to reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and supportscaling across environments.? Build and mature observability practices to detect incidents as early as possible andimprove mean time to resolution.? Partner with engineering, security, product, and leadership stakeholders to reviewenvironments regularly and identify cloud cost optimization opportunities.? Lead the design and operation of secure CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-codeworkflows.? Oversee cloud networking, access controls, and security architecture across VPCs,subnets, firewalls, DNS, load balancers, and VPN configurations.? Support deployment patterns involving microservices, containers, serverlessinfrastructure, and orchestration platforms.? Maintain clear technical documentation for architecture, processes, controls, andoperational procedures. Required Qualifications ? Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to support CI Polygraph processing.? 12+ years of experience in Infrastructure, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, CloudPlatform Engineering, or related roles.? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field.? Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability, security,resiliency, and high uptime.? Proven experience implementing ITAR technical controls.? Proven experience supporting applications through the FedRAMP process.? Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).? Strong experience with DevOps methodologies and building robust CI/CD pipelines.? Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus,ELK, Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, or similar tools.? Experience with microservices, containerization, serverless infrastructure, andorchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Cloud Run.? Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.? Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and access management, includingVPCs, subnets, firewalls, DNS, load balancers, and VPNs.? Strong scripting or programming skills in Bash, Go, and/or Python.? Demonstrated ability to work effectively across distributed teams and time zones withstrong communication and coordination skills. Preferred Qualifications ? Houston, TX-based or willing to relocate.? Deep hands-on expertise with GCP services such as Google Compute Engine (GCE),Cloud Run, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, andBigQuery.? Experience with GitHub Actions.? Experience with ISO 27001.? Familiarity with or experience supporting CMMC Level 2 environments.? Prior experience leading or managing platform, infrastructure, or DevOps teams inregulated or national security environments.
