MA SPECIALIST OR LPN SPECIALIST - GYN - PART TIME

Job Description Description:Essential FunctionsIdentifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required by specialty.Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.Acquires additional credentials/licenses pertinent to the specialty.Adheres to nursing policy and procedures when documenting information in patient's medical record.Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician's office. Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriateRequirements:LPN Specialist requirements are:Required Education and Experience: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse orPreferred Education and Experience: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Gyn-Oncology experience preferred.Medical Assistant Specialist Requirements are:Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years. Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.
