Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

This role focuses on leading high-impact R&D projects related to Plasma-Enhanced CVD reactor systems used in diamond manufacturing. The engineer will take ownership of designing, developing, and improving reactor equipment, working closely with cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities:Lead design and development of reactor systems, components, and assembliesTransition designs from R&D to production, balancing performance and costCollaborate across teams and with vendors/machine shops for fabricationManage prototyping, documentation, and manufacturing processesTroubleshoot and optimize existing reactor designs to improve output and yieldKey Requirements:Degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering field with 4+ years’ experienceExperience in mechanical design, ideally with vacuum systems (e.g., semiconductor or aerospace)Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks) and knowledge of manufacturing methodsFamiliarity with electromechanical systems, PLCs, and thermal/fluid conceptsHands-on, creative, and problem-solving mindset with leadership capability
