Requisition ID: 181710 Position SummaryKiewit is looking for a Mechanic for The Ranch located in Fort Worth, TX. Primary Responsibilities And DutiesPerform basic electrical installation and maintenance work within the shop environment.Install, wire, and maintain breaker panels, lighting systems, and electrical components.Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in shop equipment and facilities.Ensure all electrical work is completed in accordance with safety standards and codes.Perform basic mechanical work, including troubleshooting, repairs, and general maintenance.Conduct basic welding and cutting tasks as needed to support shop operations.Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively.Support overall shop operations by assisting with general maintenance and fabrication needs.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systemsOperate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical toolsQualifications3+ years of experienceMust possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.RequirementsThe person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site, so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawlConstantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditionsWork irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as requiredMay be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffoldsMove and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfacesMust be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environmentMay be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial siteMust have required toolsMay require U.S. Driver LicenseObserve and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as requiredAbility to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testingEqual Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
