Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country. DescriptionCaptivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a large set of distributed services written in Go, Java, Python, and Kotlin. Candidate will work with Accumulo and other technologies to ensure the seamless functioning of systems. Candidate should have strong background in full-stack development and the ability to adapt to new requirements quickly. Candidate work efforts are expected to have direct impact on performance and scalability of client services RequirementsSecurity Clearance:Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizenMinimum Qualifications:Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is requiredBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is requiredFour (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.Required Skills:Proven expertise in at least two of the following: Go, Java, Python, KotlinStrong understanding of distributed systems and databasesProficiency in full-stack development, including frontend and backend technologiesDemonstrated ability to adapt to new requirements and technologies quicklyDesired Skills:Experience with Accumulo or similar distributed storage systemsExperience with Bazel or other build systemsKnowledge of cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Knowledge of AWS infrastructureFamiliarity with big data processing frameworks and toolsExperience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design This position is open for direct hires only.
