HCLTech is looking for a highly talented and self- motivated Cost Out Project Lead to join it in advancing the technological world through innovation and creativity.Job Title: Cost Out Project LeadJob ID: 91527Position Type: Full-time with HCLTechLocation: Irvine, CARole/Responsibilities:Project Manager Job Description:Minimum QualificationsA minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Engineering, combined with at least 10+ years work-related experiencePrevious experience in the areas of Design for Manufacturing, Cost out, VAVE and supplier negotiationsExcellent communication and collaboration capabilitiesExperience working closely with external suppliers (Required)Performance within a medical device production environment or other regulated environment (Preferred)Measurement Systems Analysis (i.e. GR&R)Statistical Analysis knowledge (i.e. Design of Experiments, Process Stability/Control/Capability)Duties & ResponsibilitiesServe as an integral part of Cost out teams and drive VAVE to meets product cost commitmentsDevelop, design and propose concepts leveraging alternate manufacturing methods and/or material for high-cost components/assemblies.Perform engineering feasibility study for concepts proposed and demonstrate feasibility with data, samples, simulations or prototypes.Communicate with external suppliers to identify vendor source for proposed design fabrication.Perform product cost improvement evaluation activities on mechanical designs.Preparation of Project Charter for the Cost improvement projectCoordinate to develop equipment's, tooling, and manufacturing processes to meet project requirements in compliance with User requirements, Quality, Regulatory, Safety and Ergonomic standardsIncorporate risk mitigation methodology to drive process stability and capabilityResponsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management levelResponsible for ensuring personnel and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and proceduresRequired Knowledge, SkillsKnowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation, preferably in the medical industry.Ability to read, interpret, redline and make recommendations on engineering drawingsTolerance stack up, GD&T experience, preferablySix Sigma Green belt certification, preferablyVAVE experience - EssentialPMI Project Management Professional certification, preferablyKnowledge of various manufacturing processes to make metal, plastic and/or electrical componentsKnowledge of computer programs.Oral and written communication in English.Pay and BenefitsPay Range Minimum: $48.0 per hourPay Range Maximum: $51.00 per hourHCL is an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees regardless of race, religion, sex, color, age, national origin, pregnancy, sexual orientation, physical disability or genetic information, military or veteran status, or any other protected classification, in accordance with federal, state, and/or local law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
