Part Time Line Cook
Job Purpose:
Dishwasher: The dishwasher at Chapman's Brewing Taproom plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and taproom areas. They are responsible for ensuring all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment are washed, sanitized, and stored appropriately.
Line Cook: Cook is in charge of properly stocking, cleaning and operating inside the kitchen. Must work at a fast pace and be able to properly prepare any appetizers or sides going out of the kitchen. This person(s) must work at a fast pace, is responsible for preparing high quality food in a timely, efficient, safe and sanitary manner. Accountabilities include adhering to Policies and Procedures outlined by Chapman's management; following Chapman's standard recipes, procedures, and presentation specifications; meeting food and safety standards while following guidelines for producing exceptional food with minimal waste. The Cook must keep their station clean and orderly during service and fully stocked and prepared before service begins. This person(s) will work with other team members to ensure that each and every guest receives exception food and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
Ensure kitchen and taproom areas meet sanitation and safety standards.
Assist with organizing and storing clean dishes, glassware, and utensils.
Empty trash containers regularly and ensure all waste is disposed of properly.
Assist kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, such as food preparation or cleaning.
Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures.
Report any maintenance or hygiene issues to the Taproom Manager promptly.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Proven experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and sanitation standards.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
Team player with good communication skills.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands:
The job requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
Work Environment:
The work environment can be fast-paced and noisy, with exposure to kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals.
