The Executive Director will work closely with administrators in the areas of student discipline, attendance, and enrollment in line with district policies and procedures. The Executive Director will work with the community, students, parents, and leaders across the district to resolve issues at the lowest possible administrative level.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Education / Certification:Master's Degree Required;Texas Mid-management or Principal Certification required.Experience:Successful Campus Principal Experience required;At least (5) years as a Campus Administrator preferred.Special Knowledge / SkillsKnowledge of education law, school board policies, social services, and district operations;Knowledge and expertise necessary to provide guidance and oversight of the student discipline process;Knowledge and expertise necessary to provide guidance to campus administrators in managing parent complaints and dispute resolution;Skills in communication, problem solving, and collaboration;Ability to read, write, and interpret policies, letters, and memos.DUTIES: Work with Campus Administrators to resolve issues related to student servicesDesign and provide professional development for Administrators regarding student servicesProvide leadership and coordination in the following areas regarding student services:o Chapter 37, the Code of Conduct, and the Student Handbooko Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS)o Attendance and Truancy Preventiono Student Enrollment and Transferso Complaints, Appeals, and Dispute Resolutiono District Policies and Procedureso Student and Campus Safety including School Resource Officerso Other duties as assigned Work the other Student Services personnel to create a cohesive delivery environment.All other duties as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise and evaluate district and/or campus level administrators MENTAL DEMANDS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting Motion: Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds) Environment: Frequent district wide travel; occasional statewide travel Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
