Sr Software Engineer - Embedded Systems
Software Engineer for Embedded Systems will be part of the Global Digital Technology team, responsible for designing and developing embedded systems applications for the connectivity platform used for commercial, consumer, and golf vehicles. This individual will work closely with and collaborate with the development centers located in Augusta, GA and Bangalore, India to develop and release to market high quality next generation connectivity solutions for Club Car’s vehicles and consumers.Core Job ResponsibilitiesCustomize, build, and debug the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Linux kernelSupport other operating systems and board support packages for embedded systemsSupport the hardware development team with board bring upDebug device drivers and services for wi-fi, cellular, Bluetooth, and other devicesSupport and supplement the application software engineersDefine hardware architecture to ensure software product needs are metWork with technical project managers to identify project scope, establish budgets, and develop project schedulesCreate and support embedded systems applications on Android, Windows CE, Linux, FreeRTOS, and microcontrollers (no operating system) written in C, C++, C#, and JavaCreate and support back end server functionality that integrates with embedded systemsWork with technical project managers to identify project scope, establish budgets, and develop project schedulesSupport and supplement the application software engineersDefine hardware architecture to ensure software product needs are metSkillsExperience with the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Linux kernelExperience with FreeRTOS, Mbed, or other real time operating systems is desirableExperience with embedded systemsExperience with board bring upExperience with or desire to learn C, C++, C# (.NET, Mono), and JavaExperience with device driver development or integration of various devices including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, LTE, GPS, RFID, CAN, and LINMinimum QualificationsBachelor Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, Masters Computer Sciences preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in embedded systems software development We are committed to helping you reach your professional, personal and financial goals.
