The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automotive exterior components, CAD design, and product development, with a passion for innovation and high-quality engineering.Key ResponsibilitiesLead or contribute to the design, engineering, packaging, release, and launch of exterior trim systemsDevelop high-quality exterior components focusing on functionality, durability, cost, and mass efficiencyCollaborate with cross-functional teams including design studio and vehicle engineeringSupport product development using advanced engineering tools and methodologiesEnsure fit, finish, and integration of exterior components meet industry standardsRequired Qualifications7–8 years of experience in automotive exterior trim design & developmentExperience with components such as:Side valencesSill trimsUnderbody aero shieldsWheelhouse linersSpoilers / appliquesFrunk (front trunk) systemsRocker panelsStrong proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA V5/V6 preferred)Experience with thermoplastics, thermoset materials, and Class A surface manufacturingSolid understanding of engineering and computational design toolsProduct launch experiencePreferred / Nice To HaveExperience in plastics design, crash structures, aero features, lighting integrationKnowledge of tooling, resins, gap & flush, module integration, thermal expansionStrong 3D problem-solving and creative engineering skillsExcellent team collaboration and communication skillsEducationBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldAdditional InformationThis is a 100% onsite role in Newark, CACandidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive environmentThanks,Venkata NagarajuTalent Acquisition Specialist, Dew Software IncEmail: Phone: +1Website: Location: A 983 Corporate Way, Fremont, CA 94539LinkedIn:
