This individual will explore Greater Boston, attend community events, and create engaging digital content that highlights opportunities for belonging and connection.Please note: This position is unpaid at this time.Key ResponsibilitiesAttend and document community events, programs, and gatherings across Greater Boston.Create authentic, engaging short-form content showcasing your experiences and key takeaways.Serve as a friendly, approachable digital ambassador for MCBCEL on social media platforms.Identify new events, organizations, or community spaces that align with MCBCEL’s mission.Participate in Public Awareness meetings with the MCBCEL team.Track content, events attended, and basic metrics (views, engagement, etc.).Uphold MCBCEL’s values of inclusivity, respect, and community care in all interactions.Desired QualificationsAbility to attend Massachusetts Coalition to Build Community & End Loneliness sponsored events including but not limited to Good Neighbor Day. Comfortable being on camera and communicating with diverse groups of people.Strong storytelling instinct, able to capture meaningful moments in everyday interactions.Familiar with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook); editing skills a bonus.Reliable, independent, and motivated by mission-driven work.Interest in public health, community wellness, social connection, activism, communications, or nonprofit service.Access to basic filming tools (smartphone) and transportation within Massachusetts.Time CommitmentFlexible and event-dependent.Includes occasional evenings/weekends based on event schedules.This role is currently unpaid and best suited for those seeking experience, course credit, or community service hours.What We ProvideGuidance and mentorship from MCBCEL’s leadership and communications team.Editorial support for planning content and building your creative voice.Access to a growing network of nonprofits, grassroots organizations, and community leaders.A meaningful role in shaping a statewide movement addressing loneliness and belonging.What You GainExperience in social media strategy, community outreach, digital storytelling, and public communication.A portfolio of videos and content showcasing real-world engagement.Resume-building experience with a statewide coalition.Direct connections to local organizations and event hosts.The opportunity to positively impact thousands by promoting connection and inclusion.Safety & SupportMCBCEL will provide guidelines regarding safe event attendance, respectful interactions, and privacy/filming considerations.You will never be required to attend any event that feels unsafe or uncomfortable.Staff support is available for questions, brainstorming, or navigating community interactions.To ApplyPlease submit:A statement of interest (500 words or more)Social media links or sample content (optional but encouraged)ResumeIf you have any questions or concerns please fill out the form in this link: https://www.endlonelinessma.com/contact
