The company sells, services, and supports a wide range of construction equipment and power products for contractors, rental companies, and commercial clients across the greater Phoenix market and beyond.With year-over-year momentum, the business is at a pivotal stage, operationally ready to scale into new geographies and grow its book of business. They are looking for a hands-on operator to take full ownership of business performance and help drive the next phase of growth.Position OverviewThe General Manager will be responsible for the full operational and financial performance of the dealership, overseeing sales, service, and parts. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role suited for someone who knows how to run a shop-based business profitably — and who thrives in an entrepreneurial, owner-operated environment.This individual will work closely with company ownership, with a clear path to expanded leadership authority (up to President) as the business grows.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & PerformanceOwn P&L accountability across sales, service, and parts departmentsEstablish operational systems, KPIs, and processes to drive consistent profitabilityOversee day-to-day shop operations including scheduling, throughput, and qualityManage parts inventory, ordering, and fulfillment to minimize downtime and maximize marginsIdentify and resolve inefficiencies across all departmentsLeadership & Team DevelopmentLead and develop a team of ~30 employees across sales, service, and partsBuild a culture of accountability, ownership, and customer service excellenceCoach and structure the existing management teamSupport hiring and onboarding as the business growsGrowth & StrategyPartner with ownership on geographic expansion planning and executionEvaluate capital investments, staffing changes, and market opportunitiesReport on business performance and surface key insights to ownership regularlyRequired Qualifications5+ years of operations or general management experience in construction equipment, heavy equipment, or a related dealership / industrial environmentProven track record managing a service, parts, or shop business profitablyHands-on management style — comfortable on the shop floor and in the officeStrong financial acumen with P&L management experienceDemonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience with small to mid-size dealerships in the $3M–$10M revenue rangeFamiliarity with construction equipment brands (Wacker Neuson, JLG, SkyJack, Kubota, or similar)Background in parts inventory management and service schedulingExperience in a high-growth or owner-operated business environmentKnowledge of the Phoenix / Maricopa County construction marketApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.Tiello LLC is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
