This role must also communicate to a variety of groups around materials shortages, volumes, and capacity. This requires the ability to maintain strong internal and external relationships to ensure supply of materials meets requirements. In doing so, this position helps Zimmer Biomet commit to the highest standards of patient safety and quality in our products and services and to world-class integrity and ethical business practiceHow You'll Create ImpactStrategy & Vision Develops, maintains, and communicates materials schedules, inventory positions, and product costs to supply planning, manufacturing operations and others, as necessaryOperationsSchedule the supply of direct materials and components from qualified suppliers in sufficient lead time to meet production requirements and safety stock levelsReconcile supply non-conformances, return of product, and re-planning of material needsEscalate supplier capacity related issues and overall performance issues to sourcing team / commodity managementPurchasing of inventory items and indirect servicesProvide product availability commitmentsMain contact with AP regarding questions on invoices and order receipts for paymentAssist with new vendor setupEffectively utilize company resources Accountable for the accuracy and impact of planning decisionsPlanning system maintenance and updates to ensure -integrity of Planning dataComply with Government, Regulatory and Zimmer Biomet Policies and ProceduresEstablishes standard costs in support of annual inventory valuationSupport creation of metrics for operational reporting relative to areas responsibleThis is not an exhaustive list of duties or functions and might not necessarily comprise all of the essential functions for purposes of the Americans with Disabilities Act. What Makes You Stand OutKnowledge of supply chain planning, purchasing and accounting principlesStrong communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work to deadlines and produce outputs on a regular, timely basisUnderstanding of end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing interactions, activities, and underlying interdependenciesAbility to use analytical tools to issue, support, and execute decisionsAnalytical skills and ability to extract meaning from information from various sources of dataExcellent communications skills required with the ability to communicate appropriately with all levelsMust be a self-starter, self-managed, an effective team player and possess excellent analytical / problem solving skillsExcellent Spreadsheet skills and proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Your BackgroundBS or BA in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or another related field preferred3 years of experience in supply chain, project management, planning, strongly preferred to have experience more than one area Experience with medical devices preferredSupplier collaboration/purchasing experience requiredExperience with one or more ERP system preferredEOE/M/F/Vet/Disability
