OTR CDL Class B Box Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL Class B Box Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial box truck to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in driving, load & unload procedures, and route management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate a CDL Class B box truck, including manual transmission vehicles, to transport freight along assigned routes Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hand tools, ensuring proper handling of freight including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet schedule deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency Verify shipment contents against delivery manifests and document all deliveries accurately Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups and drop-offs Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the truck to ensure operational readiness Adhere strictly to safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during all driving activities Assist with loading or unloading freight as needed, utilizing equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks when applicable Handle special freight requirements including refrigerated goods or hazardous materials in compliance with regulations Complete all necessary logs, reports, and documentation related to deliveries, incidents, or vehicle maintenance Qualifications Valid CDL Class B license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred Proven truck driving experience, particularly with commercial delivery routes involving freight handling and route driving Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar equipment is a plus Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using appropriate tools and safety procedures Experience with forklift operation is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial drivers Excellent navigation skills for route planning and adherence to schedules Physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly and perform vehicle inspections effectively Join us as a CDL Class B Box Truck Driver where your driving expertise fuels our success!
