Location: Clarinda, Iowa Facility Type: Imaging Center / Clinic Start Date: ASAP (Pending compliance and credentialing) Length of Assignment: 13 week assignment with possible extension Schedule: Four 8-to-10 hour shifts per week; flexible daytime hours (No nights) State License Needed: Iowa State License Compensation: $2100-$3100 weekly gross pay for travelers, hourly rate for local talentJob OverviewMedix is partnering with a premier healthcare facility to find a skilled, independent Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an exciting travel contract opportunity. In this role, you will play a critical part in patient care, operating specialized imaging equipment and managing the daily workflow of the nuclear medicine department.This is a fantastic opportunity for a clinician looking for a schedule with excellent work-life balance, flexible daytime hours, and the potential for a long-term career fit, as this position is contract-to-hire eligible.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, including standard Nuclear Medicine scans, stress tests, and gallbladder studies.Manage a specialized schedule, dedicating Wednesdays to PET scans and Thursdays to standard Nuclear Medicine scans.Operate and maintain department equipment, specifically the Symbia Evo XL.Work independently as the sole Nuclear Medicine Technologist on-site, while collaborating with present support staff and technologists from other modalities.Maintain accurate patient records, ensure proper radiation safety protocols are followed, and deliver compassionate patient care.Required QualificationsCertification: ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification is required.Licensure: Active Iowa State Radiologic Technologist / Nuclear Medicine license.Experience: Proven ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.Skills: Strong clinical competency in standard nuclear medicine procedures and patient care.Preferred QualificationsDual-certification or experience in additional imaging modalities is highly preferred.BenefitsAs a Medix clinician, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, wellness, and future:Paid Sick Leave: Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances.
