Oracle Cloud HCM Functional ArchitectLocation: RemoteDuration: 6 months (Extension Possible)Type: Contract-to-Hire ( Potential conversion to FTE)C onversion Consideration: Client is only seeking candidates that are open to a potential career/FTE conversion with eventual salary expectations in the $180K–$200K range.Rate:POSITION SUMMARYSeeking a senior Oracle Cloud HCM IT Functional Architect to serve as the end-to-end functional design authority across Oracle Cloud HCM modules, with a strong focus on cross-module process integrity, configuration governance, testing/go-live readiness, and long-term operational sustainability.This is a forward-facing architect role that combines deep Oracle HCM functional expertise with leadership across HR, IT, implementation partners, and support teams. The architect will guide design decisions across the employment lifecycle (hire, transfer, rehire, termination, retroactivity, position changes) and ensure coherent outcomes across modules and business processes.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAct as functional design authority across Oracle Cloud HCM modules (Core HR, Recruiting, Absence, Compensation, Talent, Position Management)Govern end-to-end employment lifecycle process design and resolve cross-module functional gaps/ambiguitiesReview and validate configuration alignment with approved design, policy, and operational needs (effective dating, assignments, workflows, security intent)Lead functional QA and defect triage, classifying issues (configuration vs requirements vs process vs data)Lead quarterly Oracle HCM release impact analysis, disposition planning (adopt/defer/enable/monitor), and regression requirementsReview testing scope/scenarios and assess SIT/UAT/go-live functional readinessSupport operational model alignment, governance patterns, and transition from SI dependency to internal ownershipProduce/maintain functional documentation, impact assessments, decision logs, and readiness summariesMUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS10+ years of HCM functional/solution delivery experience (implementation + support)5+ years of Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM functional architecture or lead experienceMultiple Oracle Cloud HCM implementations (design through go-live/hypercare)Strong hands-on functional expertise in:Core HRRecruitingAbsence ManagementCompensationTalentPosition ManagementProven experience with:Cross-module process design and impact analysisFunctional configuration governance / workbook reviewsEffective-dated logic and assignment modelingApproval workflows and functional security intent (RBAC/data security awareness)SIT/UAT scenario validation and go-live readiness reviewsDefect triage and functional issue classificationQuarterly release impact assessment / regression planningStrong stakeholder leadership across HR functional owners, IT, and implementation partnersSTRONGLY PREFERREDPeopleSoft HCM 9.2 background (especially candidates with a career path from PeopleSoft to Oracle Cloud HCM)Sustained operational ownership/support leadership (not only implementation consulting)Experience in complex environments such as:Higher EducationHealthcare / Academic Medical CentersGovernment / Public SectorOracle HCM Cloud certifications (Global HR, Benefits, etc.)
