Operations Assistant
The Choice is managing a direct hire search for our client - an organization that recongizes and brings together distinguished nursing leaders to advance health equity and policy.The Operations Assistant is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being the go-to support person for a collaborative team and wants to build experience across operations, administration, finance support, and office coordination within a mission-driven organization.Office Location: Downtown Washington, DC (very walkable to all Metro lines)Schedule: Monday-Friday standard business hours, 2 days/week in officeSalary: $58,000 annuallyKey Qualifications:Completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experienceStrong customer service and communication skills with a professional, welcoming demeanorPrevious administrative, office support, operations, or coordination experience preferredAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detailComfortable working independently and collaboratively within a small team environmentProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and CanvaPrevious experience with mail merges, databases, and CRM platforms preferredExperience with YourMembership or HiveBrite is a plusResponsibilities Include:Assist with day-to-day operations and administrative support for the organizationSupport invoice preparation, financial tracking, credit card reconciliations, purchase orders, and records managementMaintain spreadsheets, dashboards, filing systems, and operational reportsCoordinate internal staff meetings, agendas, minutes, and logisticsHelp manage office operations, supplies, mail distribution, and shared spacesGreet guests and help maintain a welcoming office environmentProvide scheduling and administrative support to the Director of OperationsProvide backup phone coverage and support for internal platforms including HiveBrite and YourMembershipAssist with staff events, retreats, and recognition initiativesThe organization offers a strong benefits package including fully covered employee medical, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid holidays, 401(k) matching, professional development support, and additional wellness and retirement benefits.
