Assistant Zoning Coordinator
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Assists in the protection of the population, land, andwaterways of Douglas County through the enforcement of the DouglasCounty Planning and Zoning Ordinances and Comprehensive Plan. Upholdslicensed credential holders to state mandated requirements as it relatesto Private Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (POWTS). Protectsproperty assets and health of residents by upholding POWTS standardsthroughout the County. Inspect sites and resolve complaints. Continued employment is probable based on operationalneeds. 2026 Salary Grade: \$27.89 \$30.09 per hour \*\*\*\*\* OTHEREXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor\'s Degree in planning,geography, soil science, or related field 1-year related experience Acombination of training, education, and experience that provides thedesired knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Knowledge oflocal, state, and federal laws, rules, ordinances, and practicespertaining to soil and water conservation. Ability to acquire andmaintain State certification as a certified soil tester and a POWTSInspector through Wisconsin Department of Safety and ProfessionalServices (DSPS) within 6 months of date of hire. Excellent written andverbal communication skills.
