Detention Officer
DETENTION OFFICERS are tasked with the safety and security of all detainees within the county’s jail. Duties include but are not limited to maintaining consistent routines and demeanor, Monitoring detainee behavior and reporting unusual activity, booking/bonding of detainees, escorting detainees to court, medical facilities and other law enforcement facilities. Officers are also tasked with conducting random searches, performing security checks and perform general law enforcement functions. Officers need to be critical thinkers, self-motivated, detail orientated and be able to clearly communicate both orally and on paper. Multi-tasking, reporting writing and documenting day to day activities is a must.

Pay: $38,619.44 - $39,511.35 per year
