Special Maintenance - ElectricianThis position performs electrical repairs throughout the district.Duties include:Lighting repairsBallast, bulbs and upgradesOccupancy sensor repair and replacingFrequency drive trouble shooting and repairsFrequency drive installationHigh voltage trouble shootingLow voltage trouble shootingElectric motor replacement and wiringFire alarm system trouble shooting and repairsGenerator switch gear routine maintenanceLocation of underground utilitiesTrouble shooting of building automation systemsLow voltage actuator replacement and repairRepairs and upgrades to building electrical distribution systemsQualifications:Journeyman licensed electricianAbility to trouble shoot high and low voltage controlsExperience with installing and repairing frequency drivesAbility to work off of lifts, ladders, scaffolding and confined spacesBe available for pager rotationThe successful candidate must be organized and able to prioritize tasks to complete them in a timely and safe professional manner without damage to equipment and/or personal propertyHeavy equipment knowledge to help with utility repair projectsBasic computer skillsAbility to perform general building maintenance, includes the following: cement finishing, carpentry skills, electrical and plumbing repairsAbility to read basic operating instructions and write reportsAbility to cooperate with co-workers and supervisorsAbility to work with the public in a positive mannerAbility to work independentlyMust be able to work 2nd and 3rd shift as neededMust be available for snow removal 24/7All other duties as assigned.
