Job description: Advocate SupervisorReports to: Program ManagerEmployment Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)Work Schedule: Primarily standard business hours (EST), with occasional evening and weekend commitments required.Location: Hybrid (Worcester, MA)About CASA Project Worcester CountyCASA Project Worcester County recruits, trains, and supports volunteers to advocate for children involved in the juvenile court system due to abuse or neglect. Our advocates serve as a consistent, trusted voice—ensuring each child’s best interests are represented in court and beyond.Position SummaryThe Advocate Supervisor plays a central role in supporting and overseeing CASA volunteer advocates as they work with children involved in the juvenile court system. This position provides direct supervision, guidance, and mentorship to volunteers, ensuring high-quality advocacy, accurate reporting, and strong case outcomes. The Advocate Supervisor also contributes to broader program initiatives, including volunteer engagement, training, and community-related efforts, to strengthen CASA’s overall impact.Key ResponsibilitiesVolunteer Supervision & SupportSupervise and support volunteer advocates in day-to-day case managementProvide guidance on case activity, documentation, and communication with stakeholdersAssist volunteers in preparing court reports and recommendationsAttend case staffings and court hearings alongside volunteers as neededConduct regular performance check-ins and evaluations of assigned volunteersIdentify and communicate volunteer training and support needs to program leadershipServe as a liaison between volunteers and key stakeholders, including courts and partner agenciesCase Management & Quality AssuranceMaintain oversight of assigned cases to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and quality of workManage case files, documentation, and reporting requirements in accordance with organizational standards Coordinate schedules related to court dates, deadlines, and reporting timelinesTrack and report case-related data for internal reporting and external requirementsProvide case coverage during volunteer or staff absences as neededEnsure clear, timely, and professional communication across all case-related interactions Volunteer Program Support & EngagementSupport volunteer recruitment, screening, onboarding, and training effortsContribute to volunteer engagement, appreciation, and retention initiativesHelp integrate new volunteers into active advocacy rolesParticipate in ongoing training and professional development effortsOrganizational & Community EngagementInterface with community partners, agencies, and service providers to support CASA youthParticipate in programmatic and organization-wide meetingsContribute to a collaborative, mission-driven team environmentAdditional ResponsibilitiesSupport organization-wide initiatives and events as needed Participate in team meetings and cross-functional collaborationPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human services, social work, nonprofit management, or a related fieldExperience in case management, volunteer supervision, or direct service workStrong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skillsExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaborativelyPreferred QualificationsExperience in child welfare, juvenile court systems, or foster careExperience in volunteer training or program coordinationKnowledge of community resources serving children and familiesExperience with case management systems or data tracking toolsCore CompetenciesStrong judgement and problem-solving skillsEffective communication (written and verbal)Relationship management and conflict resolutionAttention to detail and accountabilityFlexibility, initiative, and adaptabilityCommitment to CASA’s mission and valuesWork Environment & Physical RequirementsHybrid work environment with in-office and remote responsibilitiesOccasional travel within Worcester County and surrounding areasAbility to attend court hearings, meetings, and events as neededEvening and weekend availability required on occasionCompensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $47,000-50,000/yearCompetitive benefits package offeredHow to ApplyPlease submit a resume and cover letter (PDF) to careers@thecasaproject.org.Equal Opportunity Employer StatementCASA Project Worcester County is an Equal Opportunity Employer and actively seeks a diverse pool of candidates.
