SVP, Head of Default

The Senior Vice President, Head of Mortgage Default Servicing, manages the end-to-end lifecycle of Collections, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, and REO. This individual is responsible for overall executive leadership and management of all aspects of servicing. This leadership role plans, organizes, and provides direction to staff and management to ensure cost-effective, high-quality efforts to minimize financial loss or exposure. Works to ensure efficient and effective operations with the establishment of systems, policies, procedures, and practices. This includes service that exceeds expectations for clients, customers, and Investors.Responsible for providing effective management and control over compliance with all investor, insurer, client, and client procedures, requirements, and guidelines to avoid significant monetary loss and audit findings. Ensures that key tasks in each area are completed on time and accurately. Maintains appropriate staffing requirements to meet operational needs. Work performed without significant direction. Exercises considerable judgment in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.Duties And Responsibilities Oversee all default mortgage servicing Develop and maintain policies and procedures that ensure compliance with applicable servicing standards and achieve service level agreements Manages all audits and quality assurance efforts Manage call center efforts and outbound email and mail correspondence for communications that relate to collections and loss mitigation Participates as a member of senior leadership in the management of relationships with clients, investors, regulators, and rating agencies Manage vendor relationships that support the client’s default areas Develop and implement strategies that accomplish the company’s goals and budget to achieve earnings goals and meet pre-set goals/objectives Implement and upgrade automation and systems to maintain efficiency and productivity Manages and ensures the accurate preparation and completion of monthly management reports and monthly business review All other duties as assignedQualifications Minimum 15 years of mortgage experience holding senior-level roles within servicing, with technical knowledge to include loan administration and default servicing. Prior roles as a senior leader in mortgage servicing, capable of managing multi-site operations and a minimum of 200+ FTE, leading call centers in a large-scale mortgage servicing environment Prior experience having full responsibility for P&L management Experience managing business processes offshore and across multiple operating sites Extensive knowledge of Black Knight MSP Direct experience servicing GSE FNMA, FHLMC, and government (FHA, VA, and USDA) loans
