Tier II Technicians - Network Technicians

BrS Tier II Technician JOB TYPE: Full-time JOB TITLE: BrS Tier II Technician LOCATION: United States of America DESCRIPTION: ISVP Technical Solutions has an opening for Tier II Technician to support the NRO's computer data communications systems. Provides design specifications, testing and inspections for computer networks. Plans and implements upgrades. Analyzes and organizes corresponding hardware and software combinedsolutions through network modeling.Job Duties/Responsibilities: Supports the installation and maintenance of the client LAN/WAN devices. Responds to and resolves incident tickets. Provides support to Tier 3 network engineers for incident management andprojects (site surveys, coordinate and install new equipment). Coordinates network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades. Performs configuration management functions such as update topologydrawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, inventory. Has Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience. Configures and troubleshoots layer 2 switching (VLAN's). Has knowledge of Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Brocade and Foundry OS. Is familiar (doesn't need to be a SME) with Layer 3 protocols such as OSPF, BGP,VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE. Is familiar with Viso and Service Now. REQUIREMENTS: Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Candidate must have 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a master's and 8 years, Bachelors and 12 years, Associates and 14 years or HS and 16+ years. Must comply with DoD 8570 IAT Level 2. Required Clearance: Active TS/SCI, with CI Poly Must comply with DoD 8570 Job Types: Contract, Full-time Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: Sterling, VA: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred) Work Location: In person
