In industries where risk mitigation and user experience matter most, our platform gives our partners a faster, safer and more intuitive way to pay.Aeropay is redefining what it means to pay—and get paid—by bank.Position OverviewOur Leader of Solution Engineering will be responsible for providing top-level leadership and strategic direction to the entire Solutions Engineering function at Aeropay. This role shapes and executes the overall design and implementation of enterprise-level technical solutions, ensuring that they are developed to meet client needs and drive business growth. The Director of Solutions Engineering will collaborate frequently with other members of the company’s leadership team, address complex client- and technical-related challenges and play a critical role in the overall success of the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesCore Duties:Provide strategic oversight and guidance to the Solutions Engineering team and key stakeholders, intervening with direct action as requiredCollaborate with functional leads in Product and Engineering to maximize customer satisfaction and drive Aeropay’s revenue growth strategyLead client onboarding calls, addressing complex challenges with creative solutionsMonitor and evaluate the performance of solutions engineering programsCollaborate heavily with external clients and critical stakeholdersPerform related leadership duties and projects as necessaryPeople LeadershipLead, motivate and manage the Solutions Engineering team to ensure consistent high performance and productivityConduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations and updatesPlan and implement training programs to enhance team skills and performanceSet clear KPIs and regularly assess team and individual employee performanceConduct consistent performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback to improve individual and team effectivenessQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field8+ years of experience in solutions engineering, technical sales or a related function, with at least 3 years in a leadership roleStrong understanding of software architecture, cloud computing, SaaS and/or API-based technology platformsProven experience in driving customer engagement and building effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environmentExemplary communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiencesStrong analytical and problem-solving acumen, with a detail-oriented approach to solutions designExperience in Agile methodologies and project management frameworks a plusWorking Location, Compensation & Benefits:This role is expected to be in office at Aeropay’s downtown Chicago HQ Monday through ThursdaySalary Range: $140K - $160K base salary (DOE)Benefits OfferedComprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision CoverageMaternity/Paternity Leave401(k) Employer MatchFlexible PTONOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
