As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in the healthcare team by performing essential laboratory tests that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. What you’ll do
Conduct a variety of laboratory tests including ELISA, PCR, and immunoassays to analyze specimens.
Perform RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and blood sampling with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
Manage laboratory information systems to maintain accurate data management and analysis.
Collect and process specimens while ensuring compliance with medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide insights into patient care.
Participate in clinical trials by preparing assays and supporting research laboratory initiatives.
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean, organized workspace that meets safety standards.
Basic qualifications
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques including venipuncture for blood sampling.
Familiarity with flow cytometry and blood banking procedures.
Preferred qualifications
Previous clinical laboratory experience or hospital experience is highly desirable.
Experience with laboratory management practices and data analysis skills.
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring as part of patient assessment.
