Structural Welders Needed In Broken ArrowPay: $24-28/hr. Hours: 6AM-4:30PM (Will be switching to nights in the fall) and receive $3 Shift differentialJob Type: Temp-Hire $150 sign on bonus paid out for the first 3 weeks as a temp through Abundant Solutions.. additional $150 Referral Bonus per person referred that meets 80 hours workedLocation: Broken Arrow, OklahomaPrinciple Responsibilities and DutiesUses metal core mig, tig, fluxcore sub-arc or stick welding process (must pass three or more)Ability to pass applicable test(s) and applicable Non-Destructive ExamMay weld brackets and braces and use grinders. May position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools. May perform position welds on code materialsQuality x-ray and ultrasound test welds with minimum reworkProficient in flame and plasma cutting torches and automated equipmentMust be able to read and understand blueprints and fit up pipe, flanges, etc. with minimal supervisionMust be able to operates basic cutting equipmentPromotes and supports safety, production and positive attitudeMust be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the departmentRequires employee to rarely type and use a computer and other office equipment, such as copier, printer, calendar, telephones, etc.Requires operation of heavy such as welding tools on a constant frequency and forklift on an occasional frequencyQualificationsPreferred Education: High School DiplomaWelding School RequiredExperience & SkillsKnowledge of different types and sizes of pipe, structural and vessel materialsMust pass a 3G test for vessel/tower or 6G test pipeMinimum of 3 years of related experiencePreferred Training & CertificationsCertification to weld on pipe or platePhysical RequirementsRequires employee to stand for at least 90% of the timeRequires employee to sit for at least 10% of the timeRequires employee to occasionally inspect equipment, climb stairs or ladders and must be able to maintain balance on stairs or ladders without assistance.Must be able to communicate and respond to coworkers and emergency cues/alarms, in person and on the telephone, including use of mobile devicesMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsRequires work in outdoor conditions, including all weather conditions & unairconditioned facilityRequires work on loud environmentRequires moving and maintaining self in different positions, stoop, kneel, crouch to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spacesMust wear all required PPE, including fire-retardant clothing, helmets, face shields, hearing protection, safety goggles, steel-toed boots, as applicable.
