Java Developer- PC ( Integration & Configuration)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong Guidewire PolicyCenter expertise to support configuration, customization, and system integrations within a large-scale Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration, Gosu development, and Java-based integrations, working closely with business, QA, and integration teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and customize Guidewire PolicyCenter modules based on business requirements
- Develop and maintain Gosu and Java components for PolicyCenterImplement and support PolicyCenter integrations with external and internal systems
- Design and develop REST/SOAP web services for inbound and outbound integrations
- Customize product models, coverages, underwriting rules, and workflows
- Work on PCF UI configuration and enhancements
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT activities
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and integration architects
- Support deployments and post-production issues
- Follow Guidewire best practices and coding standards
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Guidewire & JavaStrong hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter (v8/v9/v10 or Cloud)
- Expertise in PolicyCenter Configuration and Integration
- Proficiency in Java and Gosu programming
- Experience with Guidewire Studio
- IntegrationsExperience building REST and SOAP web services
- Knowledge of JSON/XML message formats
- Experience integrating PolicyCenter with:
Billing
CenterClaimCenterExternal rating engines
Third-party underwriting systems
Database & ToolsStrong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server)
Experience with Guidewire data model
Familiarity with build and deployment tools (Maven, Gradle, Jenkins)
Additional Technical Skills
Experience with Guidewire Cloud (GWCP) is a plus
Familiarity with DevOps / CI-CD pipelines
Understanding of P&C insurance domain concepts
Experience with version control tools like GitExposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Nice to Have:
- Guidewire PolicyCenter certification
- Experience with Guidewire Integration Gateway (Gosu Web Services / Messaging)
- Knowledge of Kafka, MQ, or other messaging systems
- Experience with performance tuning and production support
