AUTOMATED SIDE LOAD DRIVER - CDLLocation: Princeton, KYSchedule: Full-Time | Early Start (Typical 4AM-6AM)Compensation: Competitive Pay + Overtime OpportunitiesOverviewWe're partnering with a leading environmental services company to hire CDL Drivers for waste collection operations. This is a hands-on, safety-focused role where you'll operate specialized collection trucks while ensuring efficient route completion and excellent customer service.If you're looking for stable, year-round work with a company that values safety, teamwork, and reliability-this is a strong opportunity.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate rear-load, split body, Curotto, or automated side-load trucks on assigned routesCollect and transport waste to designated post-collection facilitiesAssist helpers with loading waste into the hopper as neededEnsure proper use of spotters/helpers when backing up in accordance with company safety policiesOperate hydraulic/mechanical packers to compact waste efficientlyPerform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and complete vehicle condition reportsMaintain compliance with DOT logbooks, route sheets, and safety documentationNavigate routes using GPS and key maps to ensure timely serviceMaintain cleanliness of customer sites and surrounding areas during and after serviceMonitor operations for safety hazards such as loose debris or prohibited materialsCommunicate professionally with customers and escalate issues as neededFollow all DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, and EPA regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures RequirementsValid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (Class A or B)Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or recent CDL school completionMust be 21 years or olderAbility to pass background check, drug screening, and safety-sensitive requirementsStrong understanding of safe driving and equipment operation Preferred ExperienceWaste management, recycling, or environmental services industryExperience with route-based driving, fleet operations, or heavy equipmentFamiliarity with rear-load, ASL, or Curotto systems Skills & AbilitiesStrong awareness of vehicle safety, maintenance, and inspection proceduresAbility to safely maneuver trucks in tight, high-traffic environmentsKnowledge of hazardous/unacceptable waste identificationSolid communication skills with both team members and customersAbility to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 100 lbs occasionallyFrequent standing, walking, bending, and climbingAbility to sit for extended periods (up to 75% of shift)Comfortable working in physically demanding, outdoor environments Working Conditions100% outdoor work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)Exposure to noise, moving equipment, traffic, and environmental elementsFast-paced, safety-critical environment with daily route demands Why This OpportunityStable, essential industry with consistent demandOpportunity for overtime and career growthWork with a company that prioritizes safety, compliance, and team culture
