Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to direct the maintenance department to meet the equipment requirements for entire facility in Flat Rock, NC. Facilities include all departments, buildings, grounds, including all electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration, and machine repair. Service entire plant's maintenance needs. Reviews department operations as required with Facility Manager. Also provides guidance to operate and adjust all production and related processing equipment, along with providing guidance and training in maintenance, safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Guide, instruct and direct maintenance employees with a thorough understanding of the department and provide a continuous monitoring of equipment and facility needs in regards to preventive maintenance, repair and general upkeep of the facility. Review equipment and facilities; make recommendations for general repair and facility needs. Responsible for all upkeep of equipment including requisitioning of parts, outside vendor services and preventive maintenance supplies. Works with all departments on timely repairs to equipment for continuous production flow. Oversees all major repairs to equipment, buildings, grounds for proper repairs and installation. Maintains all records of repairs, installation and equipment for future use. Maintain adequate supplies needed for continuous operations by timely purchases and inventory stores. Provide records on all employees in department on merit increases, discipline and vacation in accordance with corporate policy. Education and Experience Requires two years trade school, plus ten years related experience. Must have training and/or experience in the following areas: electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration, machine repair and waste management. Must be willing to maintain skills with continuous education, particularly regards EPA codes, regulations and laws. Electrical maintenance skills will include knowledge of motor control circuits to include motor starters, contactors, relays, control voltage circuits, and associated hardware and circuitry. Must have the ability to diagnose, repair and test circuit boards, transistors and similar technologies. Knowledge of electrical wiring circuits which range from 480 volt-3 phase power to 24-volt control wiring. Able to run conduit and plan and install electrical wiring. Required to analyze and troubleshoot with electrical, electronic and logic schematics and wiring diagrams, read blueprints and have the ability to diagnose problems. Electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills are essential. Mechanically perform repairs on equipment, machines, tools (both CNC and manually) and/or systems requiring technical competency and in the maintenance craft areas of plumbing, carpentry, hydraulic and pneumatic system, refrigeration and HVAC systems, and general machine repairs. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings related to these craft areas and initiate proper repairs using appropriate troubleshooting skills. Required to determine the cause of failures and enact efficient repair procedures ensuring the equipment or system is placed back into operational status in a timely manner.
