Radiation Therapist

Required Qualifications Associate degree in Radiation Therapy or equivalent Radiation Therapy Certification required; must be in good standing ARRT (T) certification or eligibility required. Valid state licensure where applicable. Basic Life Support (BLS) requiredKey Responsibilities Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist. Accurately position patients for treatment by using immobilization devices and imaging systems. Operate linear accelerators and associated radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively. Verify treatment parameters, review treatment plans, and ensure proper documentation. Monitor patients throughout treatment sessions and observe for any physical or emotional reactions. Maintain accurate patient records in the oncology information system (OIS). Collaborate with dosimetrists, physicists, and physicians to ensure treatment accuracy. Uphold all safety protocols and regulatory standards to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff. Provide patient education on treatment expectations, side effects, and follow‑up care.
