Line Cook (Catering Experience Preferred)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Line Cook to lead day-to-day line operations while supporting both restaurant service and catering events. This role requires strong culinary skills, leadership ability, and the ability to execute high-quality food consistently in a high-volume service environment. This position requires previous line cook experience in a full service restaurant.The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high food quality and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily line operations and ensure smooth kitchen executionPrepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standardsCoordinate food production for catering events, including prep, packaging, and executionSupervise and support line cooks and prep staff during serviceMaintain food quality, presentation, and portion standardsEnsure compliance with food safety and sanitation standardsHelp develop prep lists and production schedulesSupport menu execution and special event preparationTrain and mentor kitchen staff on procedures and standardsQualifications3+ years of line cook experience requiredPrior catering or banquet kitchen experience strongly preferredExperience leading a line or acting as a kitchen supervisor preferredStrong knowledge of food safety and kitchen best practicesAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to lift 40–50 lbs and stand for extended periodsFlexible schedule including nights, weekends, and eventsPreferred SkillsServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)Experience with high-volume kitchensExperience with catering logistics
