Job Description More than just a job, it's a vocationWorker Type:RegularJob Highlights:Respiratory Therapy at St. Joseph Hospital - St. CharlesSchedule: Full-time, Night Shift, consisting of 3 shifts of 12 hours each per week, with rotating weekend and holiday duties.Sign-On Bonus: A two-year service commitment is required, applicable only to external qualified candidates.Both RRT and CRT professionals are encouraged to apply!Job Summary:This role involves assessing and providing care for patients requiring respiratory therapy, as well as administering prescribed therapeutic services.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESEvaluate patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of treatment, creating a care plan based on their diagnosis.Deliver respiratory care services in line with physician orders, departmental policies, and established guidelines.Implement and oversee patient care plans and equipment, while monitoring, documenting, and communicating patient conditions. Perform advanced respiratory care techniques.Assess respiratory practices, medication administration, and treatment effectiveness based on patient outcomes.Provide education to patients and their families regarding health conditions, including information on community support groups and available programs.Assist in the care, calibration, and maintenance of all equipment, while helping to manage departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment.
