Application Developer (C#/.NET, Angular, Azure)

*About the Role* We're seeking experienced Application Developers to support a major, multi-year modernization initiative for a large public-sector retirement system. This project involves retiring a legacy pension administration platform and replacing it with a modern, cloud-native system built on Azure. You'll join a technical team already deep into this transformation: legacy systems have been migrated to Azure, a modern member portal has already launched, and the SDLC/Agile foundation is in place. This is a chance to build net-new, production-grade software on a modern stack rather than just maintaining legacy code. *What You'll Do* * Design, build, and maintain application components using C# .NET, Web API, and Angular 16+ * Develop and enhance REST APIs, system interfaces, and automation workflows connecting new and legacy systems * Write clean, well-tested, production-ready code — including unit tests, documentation, and peer code reviews * Submit and review pull requests as part of a structured Agile/SDLC process * Translate business requirements and technical specs into clear, actionable user stories with defined acceptance criteria * Collaborate closely with business analysts, QA testers, project managers, and other developers * Work within Azure DevOps and Git for source control, work tracking, and CI/CD * Help maintain legacy systems as needed while contributing to new development in parallel * Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders *Required Skills & Experience* * 5–7 years of professional application development experience * Strong hands-on experience with: C# .NET, Web API, Angular 16+, SQL, Azure DevOps, Git * Solid understanding of Agile/SDLC methodologies * Experience with business process analysis, functional design, and writing user stories/acceptance criteria * Comfort working with or around legacy system architectures and integration points * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience) * Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent development tasks against deadlines *Nice to Have* * Prior experience in the public sector or highly regulated industries * Experience with Azure SQL Managed Instances, Azure Function Apps, or Power BI * Familiarity with document management / process automation platforms Pay: From $50.00 per hour Application Question(s): * Do you have 5+ years of professional experience with C# .NET, Web API, and Angular 16+? * Do you have hands-on professional experience using both Azure DevOps and Git? * Are you available and willing to commit to a long-term contract engagement of 5–7 years? * Are you legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship? * Are you from Oklahoma City?
