About Your Role The Accounting Manager will work closely with multiple departments to oversee and manage daily, monthly, weekly, and annual financial transactions to ensure that financial records are kept according to the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position provides financial information by maintaining and reconciling accounts and preparing reports in a timely and accurate fashion. In addition, the Accounting Manager will provide leadership and guidance for the team which handles all financial transactions to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Assist with other duties as assigned. Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end account closing activities, reconciliations and prepare supporting schedules for specific general ledger accounts. Coordinate efforts with multiple departments to ensure all financial transactions are completed timely and accurately, including purchase order postings, invoice payments, customer invoices and journal entries. Assist with internal and external annual financial, tax, workers' compensation, and state audits. Prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly tax reporting to states for sales tax, business and occupational taxes, franchise taxes and use taxes. Prepare and present various reports to department heads and senior leadership regarding daily cash, projections, and margin reporting. Update and maintain department procedures, processes, and work duties, ensuring that internal controls are clear and there is a separation of duties between staff. Provide daily management, coaching and supervision for the finance team, including developing goals, scorecards, and performance metrics, conduct performance reviews and development discussions. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Six years of professional experience in Finance or Accounting, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Bookkeeping, etc. Outstanding Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record MVR.
