Quality Engineer Technician
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities Ability to evaluate parts to companystandards, including tolerances in the ten-thousandths using a varietyof gages/machinery. Operate machinery following traveler specifications.Perform first piece inspections, and complete ISIRs (initial sampleinspection report) as needed. Adhere to all safety protocols and wearprotective gear while on the shop floor. Maintain accurate records ofmaterials, pieces and productivity followed during production. Maintaina clean and safe workplace in accordance with company policies. Abilityto follow and understand company policies and core values. Issuing NCRs(non-conformance reports) when parts are found to be non-conforming.Perform gage verifications and calibrations. Marking and identifyingparts as non-conforming. Perform and coordinate internal, external,supplier, product and workstation audits Process RMAs (Return MaterialAuthorizations) Assist in CAR program and corrective actions Monitor andupdate NCRs (Nonconformance reports) Drive Process controls programs(SPC) Assist and troubleshoot floor quality issues Creation of materialreports and C of Cs (Certificates of Conformance) Assist with thecreation of standard work and work instructions Assist with measuringand reporting on QMS performance (Quality Management System) Assist withthe control of documents Create and maintain measurement plans Managecustomer portals (submitting PPAPs, print revisions, CofC submission,etc.) Create and manage PPAPs (production part approval process) Visitsuppliers as needed Support supplier CARs and root cause analysisPerform other duties as assigned. Analyze product failure data andlaboratory test results to determine causes of problems and developsolutions. Design and direct the testing or control of processingprocedures. Evaluate technical specifications and economic factorsrelating to process or product design objectives. Review new productplans, and make recommendations for material selection, based on designobjectives such as strength, weight, heat resistance, electricalconductivity, and cost. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:Experience and Skill Required Ability to read, comprehend and followbasic written or oral instructions. Knowledge of how to read a traveler.Knowledge of how to use a manual micrometer, calipers, and hand tools(ring gages, feeler gauges, etc.) Ability to pass a basic math test withthe ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and use decimal points toten-thousandths. Ability to perform more advanced algebra and math(capability studies, SPC, gage compensation). Able to effectivelycommunicate and work in a team environment. Experience with MicrosoftSuite Required. Intermediate/Advanced Use Of Microsoft Excel Experiencewith an ERP system preferred. Communicate across different levels withinthe organization ranging from shop to office employees. PhysicalRequirements A 40+ hour work week, 8-hour shifts (Monday throughFriday). Overtime may be required as needed to meet production demands,including working Fridays and/or Saturdays. Prolonged periods ofstanding, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting. Good manual handdexterity. Must be able to regularly lift up to 40 pounds at a time,including anything over 40 pounds with assistance (team lift).
