Our teams engage with various government agencies to develop and deploy emerging technology solutions using a tailored Agile methodology.We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Databricks Platform Engineer/Admin to join our team working with a Federal client. The position will be a remote role open to US citizens residing in the United States with a Secret security clearance.Deploy Databricks workspaces from scratch via Terraform + Databricks SRA on AWS GovCloud/Commercial, across dev/test/prodDesign and implement networking (VPC, subnets, PrivateLink, Transit Gateway, security groups, DNS) for control plane/data plane connectivityAdminister Unity Catalog: metastores, catalogs, schemas, external locations, grants, row/column-level securityBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) deploymentOwn platform governance, strategy, and best practices; define workspace guardrails, tagging, and naming standardsAutomate provisioning of cluster policies, secrets, service principals, SSO/SCIM integrationMonitor platform health, cost, and utilization; drive FinOps and rightsizing recommendationsAct as escalation point for platform incidents and root-cause analysis6+ years administering/engineering Databricks platforms, ideally on AWSHands-on Terraform experience (networking, IAM, compute, storage)Strong knowledge of Databricks SRA and Unity Catalog administrationExperience with DABs or equivalent deployment automationPython and Linux systems administrationAWS services: VPC, IAM, S3, KMS, EC2, CloudWatch (GovCloud experience a plus)Comfortable operating in regulated/compliance-heavy environments (FISMA High/FedRAMP High a plus)Strong communication skills; able to advise stakeholders on platform decisions4 year Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Eng or related (highly preferred)BenefitsHealth Insurance401k matchUnlimited Vacation11 Federal HolidaysRemote workTrainingMentoring/Coaching
