GENERAL SUMMARY: This position learns CNC Machining through hands-on training including: blue print reading, tooling identification/selection, and basic machining set ups. This is an entry-level position and no prior experience in CNC Machining is necessary. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS Capable of learning and studying blueprints to determine the sequence of operations and finished dimensions of work pieces. Capable of operating 2-axis lathes and 4-axis mills. Ability to learn Tooling identification/selection process per program requirements. Willing to learn basic Lathe & Mill setups and or fixturing. Ability to select appropriate program for job, observes feeds and speeds are correct. Makes offsets or adjustments according to part inspections. Assists with QC and First Articles per job runs. Meets or exceeds standard run times. Maintains equipment and keeps work area in a clean & orderly. Carries out job requirements in accordance with established procedures and specifications. Responsible for and the authority to maintain and promote a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA and our in house safety procedures. Ensures compliance of the company's overall objectives. Other duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor and/or Plant Manager. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required.
