Position Overview
Global CTI Group is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer / Solutions Architect to support our rapidly growing technology practice serving public sector and mid-market organizations throughout California.
This position works directly with Global CTI sales leadership and customers to design, present, and implement modern technology solutions including unified communications, managed services, cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and campus safety platforms.
The ideal candidate is a technical expert with strong communication skills who can translate complex technologies into practical business solutions for CIOs, IT Directors, and executive leadership.
This is a customer-facing role that plays a critical part in helping Global CTI win new business and deliver successful implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support & Solution Design
Partner with sales executives to identify customer needs and develop technology solutions.
Design and architect solutions across UCaaS / Cloud Telephony (RingCentral, Zoom Phone, Microsoft Teams Voice).
Design solutions involving Managed Services and Infrastructure.
Design cybersecurity platform solutions.
Design network and wireless infrastructure solutions.
Design campus safety and emergency notification platforms.
Develop solution architectures, diagrams, and technical proposals.
Customer Engagement
Participate in customer discovery meetings and technical workshops.
Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts.
Serve as the technical trusted advisor to customers during the sales process.
Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proposal & RFP Support
Assist with technical responses to RFPs, RFQs, and proposals.
Develop scopes of work and implementation plans.
Work with manufacturers and distributors to develop technical designs and pricing support.
Implementation Oversight
Provide technical guidance to deployment engineers during project implementation.
Ensure solution design aligns with customer requirements and contract deliverables.
Vendor & Technology Alignment
Work closely with strategic technology partners including RingCentral, Zoom, Microsoft, Verkada, Singlewire, Barracuda, Aruba/HPE, and Ruckus.
Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies and vendor solutions.
Required Qualifications
5+ years experience in pre-sales engineering or solutions architecture.
Strong background in enterprise networking, cloud communications, or cybersecurity.
Experience supporting enterprise or public-sector customers.
Ability to develop technical designs and architecture diagrams.
Experience with UCaaS platforms or enterprise voice systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lead technical discussions with IT leadership.
Preferred Experience
UCaaS platforms (RingCentral, Zoom Phone, Microsoft Teams Voice).
Networking platforms (Aruba, Cisco, Ruckus, Fortinet).
Cybersecurity platforms (EDR, MDR, vulnerability management).
MSP toolsets (ConnectWise, RMM platforms).
Campus safety solutions such as mass notification and emergency communications.
E911 and public safety communication systems.
California public sector procurement and RFP processes.
Certifications (Preferred)
CCNA / CCNP
Microsoft certifications
Network or security certifications
Vendor certifications (Aruba, Fortinet, etc.)
Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
