We're growing our IT team and looking for a Software Engineer to play a key role in a large-scale digital transformation initiative at a leading plaintiff's law firm.You'll join a close-knit, high-impact team building custom enterprise applications from scratch and integrating with a range of third-party services, web services, and APIs. If you take pride in clean architecture, thrive in Agile environments, and want your work to directly support the people who use it every day — we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoDevelop enterprise-grade applications and databases with complex requirements as part of a collaborative teamDesign and build RESTful services, APIs, and/or message/event-driven architecturesTranslate user requirements into functional application requirementsStay current on cutting-edge software approaches, architectures, tools, and platforms — and share your insightsEnsure non-functional requirements (security, performance, scalability, maintainability, usability, and reliability) are built into every solutionFollow industry standards and engineering best practicesWhat You BringBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field5+ years of software development experienceStrong hands-on experience with Java and the Spring FrameworkSolid working knowledge of relational databases (MS SQL Server preferred) and familiarity with NoSQL databasesExperience with web/application server technologies: Apache, Tomcat, IIS, Node.js, Nginx, and J2EEProven experience in Web Services and API design and developmentStrong foundation in data structures, system design, and algorithmsWorking knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Docker, and/or KubernetesExperience scoping and developing microservicesFamiliarity with GitHub, Jira, and Confluence (or similar tools)Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)Comfortable working in both Waterfall and Scrum methodologies
