PHP Developer with Progress

Job Title: Progress & PHP Developer Location: Remote Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Progress & PHP Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications using Progress OpenEdge technology. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our applications meet business needs and deliver an exceptional user experience. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain robust applications using Progress OpenEdge. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues. Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices are followed. Create technical documentation for applications and systems. Assist in system upgrades and migrations. Stay updated with the latest Progress technologies and industry trends. Develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using PHP frameworks, primarily Laravel.. Design and implement front-end components and use interfaces.. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and technical issues.. Optimize application performance and ensure scalability.. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continually improve development processes.. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.. Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the software system.. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Progress & PHP Developer or similar role. Strong proficiency in Progress OpenEdge, ABL, and database management. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services. Experience with SQL and data modeling. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, or Python) is a plus. Experience with Agile methodologies. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
