CNC Swiss Setup Machinist - Day Shift (Citizen / Mitsubishi)

As a CNC Swiss Setup Machinist, you will play a key role in producing small, high-precision components for industries including automotive, medical, industrial, and consumer equipment — with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and process stability. - The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Perform complete setups on CNC Swiss-type lathes Load, verify, and prove out CNC programs at the machine Install guide bushings, collets, bar stock, and tooling Set tool heights, offsets, and work coordinates Configure bar feeders and support production runs Conduct first-article inspections and make adjustments Monitor part quality and maintain process stability Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues Collaborate with programmers, quality, and production teams Maintain a clean, organized workspace following safety standards - Machines, Controls & Equipment You'll work with equipment such as: Machines: Citizen D25 CNC Swiss Lathes Controls: Mitsubishi Production Systems: Bar feeders, automated part handling Inspection Tools: Micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, bore gauges, optical comparators - Materials You'll Work With Carbon steels (including free-machining grades) Stainless steel Brass Aluminum Plastics and specialty alloys - What We're Looking ForRequired 2+ years of CNC Swiss setup experience Strong understanding of Swiss machining principles and guide bushing operation Ability to independently set up jobs from prints and setup sheets Proficiency with G-code and CNC controls Ability to read blueprints and GD&T Strong knowledge of tooling, inserts, and offsets Reliable, safety-minded, and detail-oriented Preferred (Not Required) Experience with live tooling, cross drilling, and milling operations Experience machining small-diameter, tight-tolerance parts Familiarity with unattended or lights-out machining Knowledge of SPC or process capability concepts - Why Machinists Like Working Here Machinists choose Advance Screw Products because Clean, organized, heated shop environment Family-owned company with long-term stability Specialized work on precision turned components Modern Swiss equipment alongside proven production machines Realistic schedules with optional overtime Strong benefits and profit-sharing potential Team culture that values skilled tradespeople - Pay, Benefits & Schedule Pay Range: $26 – $35 per hour (DOE) Benefits (after eligibility period) Medical, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid life insurance Retirement plan with profit sharing Paid holidays and vacation Paid personal days Weekly pay Uniform service provided Optional overtime opportunities Schedule 1st Shift 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Monday–Friday) Optional Saturday overtime: 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM - Apply Interested machinists can apply directly through hireCNC.
