Assistant Supervisor 2nd Shift

Job Description We are seeking a driven and experienced Assistant Supervisor to support our client's fabrication manufacturing operations in Faribault. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily fabrication activities while leading a team of production associates. This is a hands-on, people focused, and improvement driven role ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and support a team of fabrication associates to meet production, quality, and safety goals.Assign work based on skill level, workload, and production prioritiesWork closely with the Production Supervisor to develop weekly staffing schedules and authorize overtime as needed.Oversee daily fabrication operations to ensure products meet engineering, quality, environmental, and safety standardsApply Lean and Six Sigma concepts and ensure fabrication areas are compliant with 55 standards and best practicesAccurately track production data, labor utilization, and progress using EPICORMaintain daily production records, machine usage, downtime tracking, and assist with preparing reports related to production efficiency, labor, and material usageOversee preventative maintenance schedules and coordinate with Maintenance for repairsManage internal inventory of materials, tools, and equipment within the fabrication areaAdhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements for the fabrication departmentsQualifications and SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing with proven experience coaching, training, developing employees is highly preferredAbility to safely lift weights up to 50 poundsStrong understanding of shop safety practices and production workflowsComputer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and MRP/ERP systems (EPICORE preferred)Ability to collaborate cross functionally with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and EngineeringBilingual English/Spanish is a plusSchedule2nd shift | 3:30pm-2:00am | Monday-ThursdayAbout UsAt NCW, we do our best to provide the brightest talent to the best companies across the country.
