Role Description EvoTech is seeking a SharePoint Online Developer to support the development, modernization, and sustainment of enterprise collaboration and intranet solutions for our government partners. This role will support the migration of existing on-premises SharePoint solutions to SharePoint Online, while also designing, developing, and maintaining new SharePoint-based applications aligned with mission and business needs. The ideal candidate brings strong senior-level SharePoint expertise, a deep understanding of business process automation, and experience working in structured government environments. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, technical teams, and system owners while balancing changing priorities and delivery timelines. This is a full-time position, supporting government operations in a regulated environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Support the development of new solutions and sustain existing SharePoint applications in support of government mission objectives. Support the migration of legacy SharePoint solutions from on-premises environments to SharePoint Online. Gather and document application requirements; propose SharePoint-based solutions aligned with user needs and technical standards. Design, develop, test, deploy, and document SharePoint solutions in alignment with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Design, code, test, and document web and business applications using a variety of development tools, techniques, and platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to automate and improve business processes. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while respecting timelines, team commitments, and customer processes. Assist with operations and maintenance of intranet and collaboration applications as needed. Support debugging and issue resolution for customer intranet applications. Technical / Functional Responsibilities Design and implement SharePoint Online architectures and solutions. Develop responsive, multi-platform web applications leveraging SharePoint capabilities. Support platform administration, configuration, and customization activities. Implement and maintain automated workflows and integrations. Apply best practices for SharePoint development, security, and performance. Support release planning, deployment activities, and sustainment operations. Assist in assessing current SharePoint environments and planning future improvements. Collaboration & Documentation Interface directly with stakeholders, system owners, and technical teams to support both steady-state operations and new development initiatives. Collect and document user requirements, develop user stories, and contribute to estimates and planning. Maintain clear technical documentation, training materials, and solution artifacts. Ensure documentation aligns with government standards and internal governance requirements. Required Education, Experience & Skills Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of degree. Minimum of 5 years of continuous SharePoint development experience. Demonstrated senior-level experience translating business processes into automated software solutions. Strong experience with SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2016 architecture, development, and administration. Experience producing responsive, multi-platform web applications. Knowledge of relational database design and query concepts. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with both on-premises SharePoint and SharePoint Online environments. Experience with SharePoint InfoPath forms. Experience with Power Platform tools, including PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Experience with Microsoft Teams and Office 365 integrations. Experience maintaining release schedules and supporting deployment cycles. Experience assessing and planning future SharePoint infrastructure. Experience with SQL and Dataverse. Minimum of 5 years significant experience in SharePoint development and implementations. Minimum of 5 years significant experience working with the Power Platform. Security Clearance Requirement Employment is contingent upon successfully obtaining and maintaining the required government security clearance. Working Conditions This position supports government systems in a structured, regulated environment. Work may involve extended computer use, collaboration with geographically dispersed teams, and coordination with stakeholders across multiple time zones.
