Dining Services DirectorLocation: Wayne Memorial Hospital, Jesup GASalary: 65K / Bonus EligibleA General Manager for a healthcare facility with retail and catering requires a blend of healthcare compliance knowledge, retail merchandising, and hospitality management. Essential skills include financial management (budgeting, inventory, and point-of-sale systems), strong leadership, regulatory compliance (health codes and HIPAA), and high-level customer service. Operations Management: Developing, implementing, and enforcing standardized operational procedures (SOPs) for both clinical and retail/catering areas to ensure safety and efficiency. Financial & Retail Acumen: Managing budgets, interpreting P&L statements, inventory management for retail products and food, and managing vendor relationships for catering. Regulatory Compliance: Deep understanding of healthcare regulations, HIPAA, food safety regulations, and OSHA requirements. Leadership & Staff Management: Recruiting, training, and managing diverse teams (clinical staff, retail associates, and kitchen staff), including scheduling and performance management. Customer Service Excellence: Resolving conflicts, ensuring a high-quality patient/customer experience, and implementing feedback mechanisms. Strategic Planning & Analytics: Analyzing sales trends, inventory usage, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive profitability. Communication & Safety: Clear, timely communication with staff and stakeholders, alongside maintaining high safety standards in all departments.Metz Culinary Management is growing and we have openings for a Rock Star Food Service Director/GM who shares our passion for Food and Service. This position is a prominent opportunity in a busy commercial kitchen and caf operations setting and requires a polished and professional identity and winning attitude from a Director with experience leading a team in all operations. Experience desired in a Contract Dining Food Service setting such as Hospital, School, College, Senior Living or Corporate Dining accounts.The Food Service Director/ GM has an overall responsibility of food service. He/She institutes company cycle menus and recipes; plans and oversees purchasing, employee personnel programs, scheduling, bookkeeping, customer and client relations; oversees the food preparation service and sanitation; and is accountable for the total operation results.
